Waterless Lithography: An Introduction - Sue Baker-Kenton
Artists such as Pablo Picasso, Jasper Johns, Henry Moore, John Piper and Graham Sutherland all used the process of lithography to produce haunting and iconic images.
On this day course you will create an individual print, taking inspiration from the imagery and expressive mark making presented in WYPW’s exhibition: ‘Moore / Piper / Sutherland’ which runs from February through to April 2015.
Waterless Lithography is an alternative to stone and plate lithography, and utilises silicone and water soluble materials to produce lithographic plates which can be printed on an etching press. The course provides an opportunity to explore the basic technical aspects of the process, and to be introduced to the creative possibilities it offers. It is perfect for people who like to draw directly and offers a broad range of mark-making capabilities.
Our courses have limited spaces and are booked through our website.
This course costs £60, with a 10% discount for members.
