20:20 Monoprints - CREATE! Workshop - Kirstie Williams

Take inspiration from our ’20:20 Takeover’ Print Exchange exhibition, which will run throughout March 2015 at WYPW. Experiment with the process of monoprinting to create a series of unique monoprints, 20 x 20 cm in size.

Monoprinting is incredibly diverse in terms of the type of image which can be produced, and can accommodate everything from fine hand drawn lines, to blocks of colour and colour blends. This workshop is for anyone from complete beginners to those who wish to build upon their experience.

Kirstie Williams is a practising designer, maker and screen printer. She has an MA in Textile Design from Chelsea College of Art where she specialised in resist dyeing techniques. She currently works part time as a print technician at Leeds College of Art, teaches creative workshops in and around Yorkshire and has recently completed a PGCE for Further and Higher Education.
