Where be Dragons
Having wowed them at West Hoathly with "The Jigsaw Puzzle", The Company are back with a new Family Theatre Trail, "Where be Dragons", at the St Leonard’s Forest. This tale of smugglers, dragons and one of England most famous poets has been written by the Sussex based playwright, Suzi Hopkins.
The ancient St Leonard's Forest was originally part of a huge wooded area that ran from Hampshire to Dover, and was bounded by the North and South Downs, these days there is not so much left! The remaining site is now owned by the Forestry Commission, who have been carrying out extensive conservation work. This new theatrical adventure starring Michael Webber (fresh from the Old Vic) and Lloyd Ryan-Thomas ( a professional actor based in Hailsham) will appeal to all families.
Performances are on Sat 17th & Sun 18th Sept, with shows at 11.30am & 2.30pm each day.
Tickets at £4 or £10 for a family (2 adults & 2 children) are available from The Forestry Commission Booking Office Tel 03000 680 400 (More detailed information is available online at: www.highweald.org).
Be prepared for walking, large mythical creatures and our wonderful British weather!
“Takes theatre to a whole new level. Compelling, totally absorbing. Fantastic attention to detail. Cannot praise the production enough.”
