Leeds band Pablo's Paintings come to the shop in January fresh from playing a session for BBC Music Introducing in West Yorkshire last week, they are reet good!
Pablo's Paintings focus simple melody through a crooked lens. The resulting off kilter pop, nods to the avant guard, psychedelia and folk at times, but never drifts too far from a hook.
Inspired by Picasso's quote "action is the foundational key to all success", Pablo's Paintings began working together in early 2018, with no particular aim, other than to create an outlet for dormant ideas. Since, they have developed a sound that taps into a rich history of melodic songwriting and developed a keen DIY work ethic, self recording and producing all of their early output.
