"Based in Wakefield and having grown weary of the loud band scene I make music for "people who have time to be quiet" - to steal a phrase from an Island Records press release for a Nick Drake compilation. Intimacy is important but so are dynamics; diversity and not sticking to the same formula over and over again. Having trained as a screenwriter and sound designer I found the medium of songwriting to be the only true catharsis. Inspired by the likes of Neil Young and Mark Kozelek to be true to myself in my pursuit of the muse I write songs compulsively. My songs are vignettes that paint a portrait of who I am. I couldn't really write about myself in any more detail here than I would in a song. I should really hire someone for that."
