Out of the blueMy expressive contemporary abstract paintings bring joy and happiness - to me as I create; to my buyers when they have my work on the wall. I try to portray emotions and atmosphere through my art, to offer an escape from daily life and restore the spirit.
A painting may be inspired by patterns and shapes found in nature, by memories of an especially happy past event, by a favourite place or simply by a specific colour palette.
My studio is near Letchworth, and visitors are welcome by appointment. My work is shown and sold online through my website and social media, and in person from my studio, from galleries in Shefford, Hitchin and Stevenage, and at local art exhibitions.
My abstract work is created alongside commissions of various subjects in a style that will suit the subject. I am an active member of Herts Visual Arts Forum, where I am the North Herts Area Coordinator. I run an art group in Fairfield which was launched in June 2021.
