de Havilland Philharmonic Orchestra- A Russian Christmas
December will see us exploring a Russian Christmas through evocative orchestral works by Rimsky Korsakov: the Snow Maiden and Christmas Eve suites. Christmas often also means a traditional trip to the ballet and we’ll include excerpts from Prokoviev’s Cinderella. Glazunov’s Winter from his suite The Seasons continues the theme and we’ll finish with Christmas bells and well known tunes in Prokoviev’s Lieutentant Kijé.
