The Often Herd in concert at The Carlile Institute, Meltham
The Often Herd is a hugely entertaining contemporary bluegrass/Americana band from the North East of England. Their outstanding musicianship, superb harmony vocals and charismatic stage presence have taken them to the top of the British bluegrass scene.
With catchy original songs and traditional tunes, this talented band is on the rise. After some years as part of bluegrass band The Kentucky Cowtippers, the three young Geordies (on mandolin, guitar and double bass) plus their American fiddle player now have a new and exciting project. In only their first year as The Often Herd, the band has recorded and released a highly praised debut EP, and in 2018 won the prestigious band contest at La Roche Bluegrass Festival in the French Alps.
We’re delighted to welcome The Often Herd to Meltham for a gig at The Carlile Institute on Saturday 6th April. Doors 7.30pm, showtime 8pm.
There will be a licensed bar run by the community association. Tickets £10 advance, available online from wegottickets.com. Paper tickets are also on sale locally in Meltham, at Café 33 and The Flower Box.
