The Jellyman's Daughter in concert at The Carlile Institute
Rounding off our 2018 music programme in style is outstanding Scottish Americana/folk band The Jellyman’s Daughter. Blending gorgeous vocal harmonies with fiery cello, driving guitar and sweet mandolin, Edinburgh’s Emily Kelly and Graham Coe are exceptional performers and songwriters, and are joined in concert by regular band member and outstanding banjoist Jamie Francis. Their second album “Dead Reckoning” was released in May 2018 to glowing reviews and The Jellyman’s Daughter were recently featured on Mark Radcliffe’s BBC Radio Two Folk Show, as well as in session on BBC Radio Scotland.
True North Music organises a regular concert series specialising in world class folk/roots, bluegrass and Americana. The Carlile Institute in the centre of Meltham is the perfect setting for intimate concerts. There is good accessibility with a modern lift as well as the original grand staircase, parking directly behind the venue and bus service direct to the door.
Doors 7:30pm, concert from 8pm. There will be a licensed bar run by the community association. Advance tickets £10, available locally at Café 33 and The Flower Box or online at wegottickets.com (note 10% booking fee online).
