The Corn Potato String Band (USA) in concert
This fabulous and fun old time Appalachian folk trio from Detroit has delighted audiences across North America, Europe and beyond with their driving fiddle tunes and harmonious singing. They are all multi-instrumentalists dedicated to continuing the traditional music and dance traditions of the Central and Southern USA. In addition to being champion fiddlers, they also play banjo and guitar, and there may be a bit of step dancing too. This will be a lively night of foot-stomping, old-time Appalachian style merriment!
True North Music puts on concerts in Huddersfield, Holmfirth and Sheffield, specialising in world class folk and roots, bluegrass and Americana. The Carlile Institute in the centre of Meltham is the perfect setting for intimate gigs. There is full accessibility with a modern lift as well as the original grand staircase, parking directly behind the venue and bus service direct to the door.
Doors 7:30pm, concert from 8pm. There will be a licensed bar run by the community association. Our Carlile Institute concerts almost always sell out in advance, so don't miss out!
