Livestreamed concert, Streaming Across the Sea online festival
True North Music's Streaming Across the Sea online festival features a line-up of exceptional Americana, bluegrass and folk/roots artists from the USA, UK and Canada, with performances livestreamed on Sunday 4th July and Saturday 10th July (to avoid big matches in the Euros!). Here’s the confirmed performance line-up for Part 2 - live concert on Saturday 10th July:
* Jaywalkers, a Cheshire based Americana/bluegrass trio who have become one of the finest bands on the UK acoustic circuit since reaching the finals of the BBC Young Folk Awards back in 2009
* The Jellyman's Daughter, an exceptional band from Edinburgh combining acoustic Americana and folk with dashes of bluegrass. TJD have toured across the world and have been regularly featured on BBC Radio Scotland
We’re planning to film and livestream these fine UK artists from our local community venue The Carlile Institute in Meltham (no in-person audience, just the musicians and crew). We’ll broadcast the concert live to YouTube and Facebook (links below) and we hope many of you will tune in and support the event, despite the competing charms of these long summer evenings!
To watch online, just tune in at our Facebook page or our YouTube channel.

We've been running our popular True North Music concert series for over six years now, showcasing some of the finest talent in bluegrass, Americana and roots music at real life concerts in Meltham, Marsden and Sheffield, and online since the start of the pandemic.
We’ve also programmed online workshops led by some of the best folk and bluegrass artists in the business. On the morning of 10th July there will be a mandolin workshop with the brilliant Mike Giverin of Jaywalkers. Tickets are out now at https://www.wegottickets.com/event/518822
We’re extremely grateful for the grant support from Arts Council England’s Supporting Grassroots Live Music strand, which will allow us to pay all artists a reasonable minimum amount. But we rely on supporter donations to balance our budget and pay the artists as much as possible. This event was originally set to be our first (real-life) Yorkshire Americana & Bluegrass festival. Although ACE have kindly allowed us to postpone and then adapt the event, we still need to raise a reasonable amount of donations to make this all work. For more info, please visit:
