Jaywalkers - dynamic acoustic roots music

One of the classiest live acts on the acoustic roots scene, Jaywalkers create music that’s innovative and exhilarating but still deeply rooted in tradition, influenced by folk, bluegrass, Western swing and jazz. Since reaching the finals of the BBC Young Folk Awards in 2008, Jaywalkers have cemented their place as one of the most exciting, talented and entertaining young bands working on the British folk scene. With exceptional musicianship, stunning lead vocals, three part harmonies and tasteful arrangements, this youthful trio is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Jaywalkers are Mike Giverin (mandolin, harmony vocals, guitar), Jay Bradberry (fiddle, lead vocals, guitar) & Lucille Williams (double bass, harmony vocals). Now with three albums to their credit, 2015 release "Weave" saw the band working with leading folk producer Andy Bell, courtesy of an Emerging Excellence Award from Help Musicians UK.
The band’s live set features some blistering, foot-stomping, up-tempo instrumentals and traditional songs in addition to their top notch originals. Despite their youth, this hardworking trio has been working and gigging constantly for many years, honing their craft and their instrumental chops. We’re long term fans of Jaywalkers here at True North Music and we’re delighted to be bringing them to Huddersfield!
