Hubert Murray
Irish troubadour Hubert Murray blends soulful folk, blues and bluegrass. His voice is packed full of energy and soul, accompanied by a mix of delicate finger picking and fiery hot flatpicking on the guitar. Hailing from County Galway, Ireland, Hubert is currently based in London and is best known as the lead singer and guitarist of London based old-time/bluegrass supergroup The Hot Rock Pilgrims, as well as Irish bluegrass fusion band Lands End.
We’re delighted to have added this gig as part of Hubert’s mini tour of the Midlands and North of England to promote his brand new debut EP Shorten the Road. Hope Bank Works is a fabulous community arts space in Honley, near Holmfirth, and will be the perfect setting for this intimate gig. There’ll be a short support set of Americana/bluegrass by some local musicians and we’re intending to finish off the night with a bit of a bluegrass session. Come on down for a fab evening of folk, blues & bluegrass!
PLEASE NOTE - postcode for Hope Bank isn't quite right for vehicle access. Head towards Holmfirth from Honley Bridge on Woodhead Road and after passing the Jacobs Well pub on the right, you'll see the entrance to Hope Bank shortly afterwards on the left. There's plenty of parking as well as good public transport links via rail and bus.
