Dance Workshop (Fall into Autumn Virtual Festival)
Evie Ladin from California will lead a fun and lively percussive dance workshop. Evie is a sensational dancer, singer and musician and is also the leader and choreographer of all-female percussive dance company MoToR/dance. Her workshop will be based on her compelling performance piece The Storm, and will have you singing, clapping, stepping, moving all at once!
PLEASE NOTE - the workshop will be conducted online via Zoom and a link will be emailed out to all participants. You do not need a Zoom account set up beforehand; just use our link to join.Join the event between 3.45pm and 4pm. Workshop will run from 4pm to 5.15pm.
Multi-talented singer, dancer, clawhammer banjoist and songwriter Evie Ladin grew up surrounded by traditional music. Playing banjo from the age of 8 and clogging since she was just 5, Evie usually tours worldwide in her duo with partner Keith Terry. She is also an in-demand tutor teaching singing, clogging, percussive dance and clawhammer banjo, and is co-founder of the International Body Music Festival.
Part of True North Music's Fall into Autumn Virtual Festival, which also includes workshops in songwriting and flatpicking guitar, plus two live streamed concerts free to access on YouTube and Facebook Live.
