For ages 11-14

Trestle School of Drama invites you to participate in a unique theatrical experience this summer! Inspired by our iconic 1980s masked performance Hanging Around, Sonder delves into the ever-changing world of stereotypes.

Have you ever wondered what role you play in someone else's story? Sonder explores this intriguing question through a week-long workshop where you'll collaborate with fellow participants to create a brand new performance using Trestle's globally recognised masks.

Drawing inspiration from Trestle’s original Hanging Around script, we'll use drama games and exercises to bring the theme of navigating stereotypes in today's world to life. This is your chance to be part of the creative process and explore the fascinating concept of "sonder", ‘The profound feeling of realising that everyone, including strangers passing in the street, has a life as complex as one's own.’

The week will end with a performance at Trestle Arts Base from 3pm.

COSTS: £135pp, £5 early drop off from 9am per day. £5 late pick up until 4pm per day.
DATES: Mon 12 Aug - Fri 16 Aug 24
TIMES: 10am – 3pm each day, performance from 3pm – 3.30pm on Friday.
