The phenomenal Brazilian percussionist and multi-instrumentalist Adriano Adewale is one of the world’s great collaborators, with partners ranging from Salif Keita and Bobby McFerrin to Seu George, Jools Holland and Britten Sinfonia. Flying from jazz, theatre and dance productions to pure samba and African rhythms, Adriano brings joy and virtuosity to everything he plays, as well as a vibrant, intense communication. Adriano has performed at the Southbank, Barbican, the Apollo Theatre, Usher Hall, Olympia in Paris, Jazz Café, Ronnie Scotts and Sage Gateshead.

Adriano’s kaleidoscopic programme for Dartington includes Brazilian dance music, Argentinian tango, Tom Jobim bossa novas, contemporary jazz, and much more.
