Katy Bircher is a leading performer on early flutes, appearing throughout Europe, the USA and the Far East. She has performed concertos with the European Brandenburg Ensemble, La Serenissima, Concerto Caledonia, the Kings Consort and the Academy of Ancient Music. As principal flute of the Gabrieli Consort and Players, she has contributed to many award-winning recordings, notably Bach’s Easter Oratorio and St Matthew Passion, Mozart’s C minor Mass and Haydn’s Creation, all on Deutsche Grammophon.

Together with the outstanding early musicians Lars Henriksson and Robert Howarth, Katy presents an ebullient programme of crisp, sparkling Baroque trios.
