As people come together from all over the South East to help build a remarkable boat it’s time to find a crew.
Since February 2011 The Boat Project has been receiving wooden donations from members of the public. Each donation has played a part in somebody’s life, each tells a story, and each will be used to create a unique, state of the art, 30ft sailboat – a living archive of all our lives.
We’ll launch the boat in May 2012, wishing it well as it sets out on its month-long maiden voyage. But we need a crew, which is where you come in: Who do you know that should be on that boat? Who would relish the challenge of working in a team with a professional skipper? It’s the opportunity and adventure of a lifetime – who will you give it to? Put somebody forward and if chosen we’ll train them, if they’ve no sailing experience, and equip them with everything needed to take to the high seas. So, who will it be?

The nominee does not have to have any previous sailing experience, but must be aged 16+, available for a few days at a time to sail between mid May 2012 and July 2012, and also for 7 days training during July 2011 - September 2011.
