Still I Rise is a fearlessly physical full-length dance work from TRIBE//, the company formed by Victoria Fox Markiewicz, for many years a successful performer with Silesian Dance Theatre, Jasmin Vardimon and CandoCo.
Inspired by the poem of the same name, Still I Rise channels the resilient, unapologetic quality of Maya Angelou’s words into the unflinching, relentless, movement of TRIBE//’s five strong female ensemble, each with their own unique physicality and presence. Still I Rise has a punchy movement style and an equality agenda which together provide a visceral dance experience for audiences.
