Latin Percussion Workshop @ The Musiclab
Every culture on the planet has some form of drumming and the rhythms that come out of Latin America are some of the most dynamic, intricate and exciting.
Focusing primarily on Afro-Cuban instruments such as Congas, Bongos, Timbales and Cowbells,
this monthly workshop is a fantastic opportunity for students of all abilities to expand their rhythmic
vocabulary and improve hand speed and fluidity. It is also a fun way to interact and play with others
and to learn how recognise how percussive instruments occupy their own space within a rhythm – a great skill to develop which can be applied to drum kit playing within a contemporary rock / pop environment.
THIS WORKSHOP IS NOT JUST FOR DRUMMERS – Guitarists, Bassists and Pianists can also reap the benefits of a good understanding of rhythm and syncopation!
The cost of the workshop is £20 per person, limited to a maximum of 6 persons.
Book now and add some Latin flavour to your playing!
