MARION SAWL – EXHIBITION OF LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS AT THE BEEHIVE
Come and visit the gallery at The Beehive for our latest exhibition. We are delighted to exhibit artist Marion Sawl’s work. Marion is mainly self-taught, but studied at St Martins School of Art in London. She has spent many a happy hour at evening classes learning her craft and enjoys large monumental projects that include scenery for Gilbert and Sullivan Operatic Society and also for two productions at Nat West Bank.
Her favourite medium is acrylic though she has used oils and finds using watercolour is fantastic for painting outdoors.
Marion explains;
“My paintings are mainly collections here and abroad. To paint a picture that actually touches someone enough for them to buy it is an amazing feeling. There are many subjects that are of interest to me i.e. landscapes, wildlife, still life. Painting in different styles such as heightened colour, allows me to experiment and allows me to expand my skills.”
Marion Sawl’s exhibition is running at The Beehive from 1st-23rd September.
Opening hours: Mon-Fri: 10am – 5.30pm, Sat: 10am – 12pm and 1 hour before evening performances.
