Market Showcase: showcase opportunity for artists/creatives

Temporary Contemporary is a partnership project between Queensgate Market, Kirklees Council and the School of Art, Design and Architecture, University of Huddersfield.

The University of Huddersfield are programming the Market Gallery and Market Hardware spaces to provide exhibition opportunities for staff and students from the Department of Art and Communication (School of Art, Design and Architecture).

In addition to these spaces Temporary Contemporary is offering the opportunity for artists, creatives, musicians, performers, arts groups and organisations to use vacant stalls around the market for free to create and showcase work.

Deadline: this is currently a rolling programme but please give 3 weeks’ notice before your proposed dates. Your proposal will be looked at alongside other exhibitions taking place, other proposals and the availability of stalls on specific dates.
