‘From the Air’ lands in Hertford

Four artists: Marion Hewitt, Suzy Drake, Lorna Brown and Kimberley Bevan are staging their inaugural group exhibition at Hertford Theatre Gallery from 19 November – 3 January. The exhibition, titled ‘From the Air’ brings together their interpretations of this theme in an eclectic mix of works in various media.
The show includes a journey in glass inspired by ancient maps of Hertford; alongside paintings of sequenced images of movement; abstract treatments of the sky and weather; and aerial observations of people at play.
The artists, from Hertford, Stevenage and Baldock, formed the ‘Elysian Art Group’ following their fellowships with Digswell Arts Trust in Stevenage where they each rented studios. They are frequent exhibitors throughout the region and beyond, and have been involved in teaching and art-projects with local groups for a number of years.
The show is free, all are welcome – do breeze in and take a view.
