This piece takes us through many moods - bright cheerful moments - dark dramatic parts - etherial heavenly sections to the mighty crescendo before the hiatus when the Requiem begins again only to end on the cheerful beginning, all within 5 minutes! a wonderful piece of music.
This was one of Malvern's favouite works and this particular piece was played by Christopher Sears (the organist here) at Malvern's Funeral. The complete Requiem was performed at out concert on 7th December "In Memoriam for Malvern Cooke"
