GREEN ROCK RIVER BAND

A Green Rock River Band show will promise loud, brash string band music; banjos, fiddles, guitars and washboards all over-scored by melodic trombone and soaring three part harmonies. The band however has always been keen not to box themselves in as a party band. They have always focused on the craft of songwriting and strong arrangements.

Sometimes this has led them to write big ‘stamp your feet‘ anthems, at other times they emerge with striking ballads, sensitive songs that reach out to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. It’s the universal appeal of their songs that elevates them as one of the UK’s top original folk bands.

JOHNNY CAMPBELL

A fast, ruthless, uncompromising sound which lends its influences from far and wide. Johnny is also a humorous storyteller and recalls stories of touring from twenty countries and counting where he's plied his trade. Embracing traditional music from Europe and sometimes frantic Bluegrass style picking, Johnny performs mostly self penned inspiring songs of protest, migration and debauchery.

Boo Sutcliffe
Boo Sutcliffe has a reputation as an outstanding songwriter and captivating live performer. Lively, intense and lyrical, his music draws on country, indie and folk to produce songs that get inside you and stay with you. Expect beautiful original material and inspired reimagining of a few modern classics.
