Programme & Marketing Department
Main Responsibilities to include some or all of the following
• Development and coordination of the Flavel’s Artistic programme
• Managing events from confirmation to performance including contracts, artist liaison etc
• Developing and managing the marketing and promotion plan
• Contributing to the effective and efficient running of the Flavel Arts Centre
Details
The Artistic Programme:
• Develop an artistic strategy in support of the Flavel mission, aims and business plan including development of audience research and demonstrating that the Flavel is seen as a cultural focal point in the community
• Through research, communication and developing links with performers, agents and entertainment organisations compile a varied programme of film, live screening and live events
• Develop current programme features such as the Comedy Festival, Folk at the Flavel and Classical Series and propose new programme features
• Co-ordinate and arrange the programme of Flavel art exhibitions
• Ensure that the artistic programme meets financial and other business plan objectives
Event Management
• Ensure all contractual arrangements are in place for all events
• Negotiate with artists, agents and entertainment organisations to obtain images and other promotional material.
• Administer all events to ensure a successful outcome including obtaining artist requirements and ensuring all Flavel requirements are met
Marketing:
• Develop and deliver a marketing and promotional strategy to support the artistic programme and business plan including financial objectives
• Provide information for the production of marketing materials such as the What’s On Guide, monthly film guide, season guides, mailing lists and posters and flyers
• Oversee and develop use of social media
• Liaise with local press outlets including preparation of adverts and press releases
• Coordinate box office activities in support of the marketing plan
Job Skills and Experience
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Previous experience in the Arts and Entertainment industry is preferable but not compulsory for the right applicant
• Good verbal and communication skills
• Good written skills
