Sound and Music as a Weapon of War and Form of Torture

Inspired by Jim Channon's First Earth Battalion the United States military has for some time been using sound and music as a non-lethal form of torture and weapon of war.

I'm a 2nd year Creative Digital Media student at South Devon College and for my Negotiated Project I've created a multi-media piece showing the history of this phenomenon, including a soundscape of sound and music actually used.

From it's post Vietnam War beginnings to it's present day use as part of the 'War on Terror' my aim is to show how this has evolved.

Warning: This multi-media installation, uses strobe lighting and is unsuitable for children.
