Los Diablos, devised show of Venezuelan folklore in NYC

Los Diablos was collaboratively devised by my theatre company, La Boca, over a summer of research and development in Venezuela, exploring maskwork, dance, music, and stories inspired by the Afro-Caribbean devil dancers, Los Diablos Danzantes. We brought ancient and contemporary folklore to life on the New York stage, changing the tune of Venezuelan-American politics by dancing as devils to purge our (international) community of fear and 'evil'.
