According to the recently published report on Kirkless' 'creative' economy, there are NO people employed in crafts in the area. This came as rather a surprise to me. Admittedly I am self-employed (as most craftsmen are) and my contribution to Kirklees' economic well-being is probably minimal, but I exist, and am publicly asserting that I exist - a veritable craftsman, making things, in Kirklees.
