I am a local artist and writer who organises a creative writing night: Poetry etc., every final Wednesday of the month, at Northern Quarter, Huddersfield.
The night is a place for the community. A place to play, create and collaborate with others interested in the word: whether it be written, spoken, sang, drawn or related to through an idea. The first hour of the evening (7-8pm) composes of short workshops and exercises to inspire new ideas or to expand on individual's process. Then between 8pm-11pm there is a free for all open mic.
I am also one of the Co-Director's at Vortex Gallery, HD1 1DL. And put on events in this venue for local musicians/ performers of any kind.
