Glamour Girl
Join Quill & Inkling to experience the true story of Cora Pearl, a provocative and scandalous character who escaped dull 1850s London for gay Paris! Set between 1854 - 1872 this fast paced, historical drama explores her rise to fame and the rather modern challenges she faced. From gossip and outrage in the press to riots in the streets and moralistic politicians, Cora’s quick wit, ingenuity (and some other talents), made her the epitome of glamour.
An exciting collaboration between Quill & Inkling’s Beth Miller (Producer and Deviser for award winning Desi Eventi theatre at the Festival Di Regia, Italy) Ivan Wilkinson (writer of the recent national tour of ‘Kidnapped’) and Distraction Theatre’s acclaimed director, Rebecca Gadsby.
