Call To Artists - Natures Sculptors Exhibition
Natures Sculptors
2012
An exhibition of contemporary sculpture is being organised to take place in 2012 in the grounds of Buckfast Abbey, Devon. Outdoor sculpture can be in place for up to six months from 16th April.
The inspiration for this exhibition is drawn from 'Natures Sculptors'. This can be interpreted in many different ways. Ideas could be based upon the elements of wind, fire and water or from the animal, bird and insect world. The key criteria is for artists to tackle the theme in an imaginative and contemporary manner.
Also an indoor exhibition involving the Community Of Bees will take place in the Medieval Hall from Monday the 16th of April to Wednesday the 25th of April.
Established and emerging artists wishing to be considered for the outdoor space may apply to exhibit up to two sculptures, and by sending a current CV with a total of four photographs for each work including a S.A.E plus the following details: Artist name, Medium, Size, Price, and contact details to:
DCA DARTMOUTH CONTEMPORARY ARTS, 106 VICTORIA ROAD, DARTMOUTH, DEVON
TQ6 9EF.
APPLICATIONS BY EMAIL WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
THE CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS IS TUESDAY 31ST JANUARY 2012
Artists will be asked to pay an administration cost of £40.00 to take part.
A commission charge of 25% will be made on the completion of a sale and made payable to DCA DARTMOUTH CONTEMPORARY ARTS.
We are acutely aware that we are priviliged to exhibit in this spiritual home and with the support of its community we hope that visitors will enjoy the work and help to establish Buckfast Abbey as a centre of excellence for Contemporary Sculpture in the South West.
