Stalls for Salisbury Contemporary Craft & Heritage Festival
Makers Stall Applications Open - Salisbury Contemporary Craft & Heritage Festival 2016
Salisbury Contemporary Craft & Heritage Festival 2016 is back and will now take place over 3 full days. The festival celebrates Salisbury and the local area as a leader in design and craft making, valuing the history of both contemporary and historical processes together.
Fabulously sited beneath the cathedral’s soaring spire, Salisbury Contemporary Craft & Heritage Festival returns to celebrate superb craft skills both ancient & modern.
The festival occupies the West Lawn of Salisbury’s soaring medieval cathedral in one of England’s most beautiful architectural enclosures. Not just a stunning backdrop, the cathedral stands centre stage. With contemporary and heritage talks, tours, workshops and activities alongside the exhibitor marquees, the festival acknowledges the historic craftsmanship evident at every turn, while celebrating the design, ingenuity and skill of contemporary makers.
Visitors can explore the setting, try their hand at the demonstration and workshop stands, and buy from the best in their field. The Festival will take place over 3 full days from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th September.
The contemporary and heritage makers application forms are now live online until the 25th March after which we hold our selection meeting. The online form is quick and simple to complete and there is no application fee!
Heritage Workshops & Demonstrators
The Festival is now in its third year and was an overwhelming success in 2015. We are aiming to increase the number of heritage displays this year to showcase a wider variety of heritage skills and techniques.
In return for a free pitch, heritage providers are asked to bring their own gazebo where they will demonstrate their skill and an activity with audience participation. It is also possible for heritage providers to display and sell the heritage products that they make. However, this is not the main focus of the event for heritage providers.
Heritage forms can be downloaded from www.salisburycraftfestival.org/heritage-workshops-2016/
Your completed heritage form should be emailed to events@salcath.co.uk
