Choir at St Albans Cathedral January 2020

There is a long standing choral tradition at St Nicholas Church in the Parish of Harpenden.

A Boys’ Choir has flourished since at least the 1900s
Our Girls’ Choir was founded in 2009
Our excellent Adult Choir consists of talented Sopranos, Contraltos, Counter-Tenors, Tenors, Baritones and Basses.
We have six Choral Scholars aged 15-18.

The choir sings regular Choral Eucharist and Choral Evensong weekly as well as occasional concerts and Cathedral trips. Training, music, robes, everything is provided for you and junior choristers even get paid!

If you are an experienced local choral singer, do consider joining us, we rehearse on Friday Evenings. Each section of the choir has one Sunday off a month.

Children aged 7 to 13 are welcome to join even if they have no previous experience! Children rehearse on Thursdays.
