MAKE MUSIC NOW LAUNCH PARTY 31st AUGUST 2013

Make Music Now and Songstress are two new music projects for young people aged 12 and above in Torbay. They are funded by Youth Music and a mix of weekly workshops, events and gigs are being delivered by a crack team of 8 music leaders from Future Shores. The projects are all about exploring the positive impact we know music making has on young lives, how we can all embrace youth culture to make projects relevant and get young people involved in really planning the delivery they want.

To celebrate, and tell the Bay what the projects are all about, we're staging a Launch Party at Parkfield all day on August 31st from 12pm. Expect to see some of the best bands around, hear some amazing beats and you can even have a bash and make some killer tunes. The best thing is you get to tell us what music you're into and how you want music making in Torbay to look. We'll then spend the next year bringing workshops every week to a neighbourhood near you to see who gets involved, what works and what doesn't, plus there will be more events and more gigs on the journey.
