Lynette Pike Artist
About Me - I was born in Oxford in 1980, and was brought up in Swindon. Since my early years, I was inspired by my grandfather who was an incredible artist, and a cartoonist for the 'Mirror' newspaper in the 1970's. In 1996 I studied Art and Art History in the Swindon college of Art and Design, and obtained a A level in Art and Design foundation, and have carried on ever since. I have done many commissions for people including corporate signs and logo designs, a mural for a local nursery school, illustrations for a published poetry magazine and numerous paintings for private clients.
I have held a number of exhibitions in Swindon, and Devon, including Swindon Library, Swindon Museum of Art, Shoreline Bistro, Old Market Cafe in Brixham and the Space Invaders Exhibition in Torbay.
I now live in Goodrington, Devon, and paint 'seaside imagery' including shoals of fish, seagulls and beach huts, under the business name of 'Pink Fish Art' . However, I do paint a variety of different subjects and I am open to private commissions. I currently have a few exhibitions running around South Devon. I find living on the coast, amazing and inspirational - a dream come true! I enjoy all aspects of art, and in particular I enjoy using acrylic paint, pastel and charcoal mediums.
