Last call for paid Artist in Residence opportunity
Hertfordshire Libraries are looking for two creative practitioners for two new paid Artist in Residence positions in our libraries. The closing deadline is 5pm Wednesday 12 June.
My Story is a community arts project that gives Hertfordshire residents a chance to experience low cost art and culture in libraries, as well as championing the voices and stories of each locality.
The St Albans District residency will run from Sept-Dec this year and will run across St Albans, Marshalswick and Harpenden Libraries.
The Hoddesdon residency will be from Oct-Nov and run across Hoddesdon and Cheshunt Libraries. Hoddesdon and Cheshunt have a particular interest in photography but this is not essential.
To submit an application we request a CV/biography and links to previous work, alongside a proposal for what you would do with the residency (which can be in written, recorded, or video form) including:
1. Details of your artform(s)
2. Why you would like to work on this project and what you would bring to whichever specific community you are applying for
3. Ideas for project content/workshops
4. Any other requirements
We look forward to receiving your application. All successful artists will be contacted for an informal interview by the end of Tuesday 18 June.
