Saxophone Day with Sarah Markham

The 2019 Saxophone Day focuses on ensembles with concerts from the Quirk Saxophone Quartet, Equinox Saxophone Ensemble, Yorkshire Saxophone Choir, and others. These ensembles will thrill and delight with their varied and exciting programmes.
Sarah Markham is joined by pianist Paul Turner to perform a solo recital. Practical sessions include saxophone orchestra, jazz improvisation, saxophone technique workshop, working with a pianist (hosted by Paul Turner), a talk on how to plan for an associated board exam (hosted by ABRSM examiner Matthew McGuffie).
An exhibition of major saxophone companies including Vandoren, Selmer, D’Addario Woodwind, Yamaha, Yanagisawa, and Trevor James will be open all day in the Creative Arts Building.
