• GF Handel – Oboe Sonata in C minor, HWV366; Recorder Sonata in B flat major, HWV377

George I was very sure of his musical tastes; he was particularly attracted to the music of George Frideric Handel and Agostino Steffani. His collection was more than a reflection of this musical taste but also a record of his lifelong friendships with both Steffani and later Handel. This concert will place one of Steffani’s larger scale cantatas alongside sonatas by his younger contemporary, Handel.
