Pathways Manager, Opera North
Opera North is England’s national opera company in the North and one of Europe’s leading arts organisations. Through its Education department, the Company seeks to encourage people, of all ages and from all walks of life, to explore the art form of opera and the work of Opera North; in doing so it seeks to break down perceived barriers to engagement with the artform. It seeks to champion excellence in opera and related fields by, with and for young people, and to use arts participation and performance to enhance the health and well-being of people in the communities where we work.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, well-motivated Pathways Manager to manage a portfolio of training opportunities for young people within the Opera North Young Performers Programme; including but not limited to the Saturday In Harmony instrumental programme, the In Harmony Opera North choir and skills building workshops for singers aged 16-21.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with people at all levels and from all backgrounds and be able to demonstrate excellent administration skills with a strong attention to detail. This post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance.
Salary: £26,401 per annum
