Opera North is England’s national opera company in the North and one of Europe’s leading arts organisations. In Harmony is a national initiative that aims to inspire and transform the lives of children, their families and wider communities through school and community-based orchestral music-making. In Harmony Opera North has been running since 2013 in south Leeds and currently works in 5 primary schools and 1 secondary school with over 1,800 children and young people each week.

An opportunity has arisen within the Education team for a well-motivated pianist to work fulltime alongside the In Harmony Opera North team to support the delivery of choral delivery.

The successful candidate will have a solid classical music training and be able to demonstrate a high level of musical skill, technical proficiency on the piano and music literacy. This post is subject to satisfactory DBS clearance and the ability to work across locations.

Salary: £22,000 per annum

Contract type: Fixed term (11 months); Full-Time.
