As part of the Government’s Seachange programme, Torbay Council is embarking on three projects to unlock the region’s potential. Kay Elliott were appointed on two of the projects, Cockington Court and Berry Head.
CLIENT: Torbay Council
CONSTRUCTION BUDGET: £2.8 Million
COMPLETION: 2010
Cockington Court will become a new cultural destination with enhanced facilities for creative industries. When completed in 2010, it will encourage visitors and residents to explore the surrounding countryside and its rich heritage.
We will aim to revitalise the manor house, enabling it to become an inspirational new art space with improved and new galleries, residency workshops, studios and teaching facilities. A new sculpture trail will reconnect the historic thatched village of Cockington to the coastline, opening up the existing network of paths.
