Voluteer stewards at The Radlett Centre Needed

As a Volunteer we need you to act as the public face of The Radlett Centre by being the first point of contact to the public during our performances and events. We would like you to help us ensure our patrons have a positive and enjoyable experience from the instant they enter our venue to the moment they leave. This is a great way to develop new skills and make new friends while enjoying the latest Theatre, Drama, Comedy and Dance events.

Main Duties:
• Provide excellent customer service
• Directing customers to the theatre facilities e.g. bar, toilets & box office
• Checking Tickets
• Directing customers to their seats
• Monitoring the audience during the performance
• Dealing with audience related queries
• Assisting in the safe evacuation of the public should an incident occur
• To present & promote a positive image of the Centre at all times.
• To help tidy the auditorium when there are two shows on one day.

Shifts:
Shift times will vary in accordance with events. An average shift is 3-4 hours. Most events occur evenings and weekends and volunteers can choose which shows they sign up for based on your availability and interest.

Dress:
The Radlett Centre will provide all volunteers with steward’s badges and we ask that you wear black and white in a smart but casual manner.

Training:
No previous experience is necessary as you will be invited to intend a full training session at the theatre prior to your first shift.

Recompense:
All steward positions are unpaid. A soft drink / hot beverage / ice cream are provided.
