Visual artist for teenage wellbeing workshops
Call out for a visual artist to deliver A Space To Be …, a Hertfordshire based wellbeing project for young people supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Closing date: Monday 6 December 2021
Project details: 9 x 2 hour workshops, January to April 2021
Venue: Stevenage Museum
A Space To Be … is a Hertfordshire wellbeing project aimed at young people aged 12 to 18. Working with museums across the county we aim to use the arts to draw out stories that reflect participants’ own experiences.
We have a vacancy for a visual artist to lead workshops based on the collection at Stevenage Museum.
We are looking for a practitioner with a flexible approach as we want to be guided by the young people’s reactions to the collection. If you have previously worked in heritage settings this would be an advantage but it is not essential. We welcome applications from those with lived experience of poor mental health.
Please send your cv to Jo Askham, Project Manager, A Space To Be … at aspacetobeherts@gmail.com
