JEANETTE SMITH - True Life Artist
Born and raised in Torbay, Jea is a traditional artist. Her paintings are inspired by the beautiful countryside and exquisite coastline of Devon & Cornwall and characterised by her meticulous attention to detail.
She spends hours a day working and it can take many weeks to sometimes months to complete a piece of work, often returning to the scene several times to make sure she has captured the presence.
She has been working as a full time professional artist since her watercolour painting of the River Teign upstream of Fingle Bridge won First Prize in the landscape catagory of ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2008 in the Artists & Illustrators magazine.
Currently her work can be seen on exhibition at White Sails Gallery in Dartmouth, Mayne Gallery in Kingsbridge, Frames & Boxes in Newton Abbot and Knights Gallery in Paignton
