Dalcroze Summer School

An invitation to attend Dalcroze UK’s brand new Summer School venue at Coventry University!

As well as the usual array of classes in Rhythmic Movement, Aural Training, Improvisation, and the opportunity to observe children’s classes, this year’s special features include:

• world-renowned guest tutor, Sandra Nash, from Australia

• vocal workshops with Liz Harley of the Edinburgh Voice Studio http://www.edinburghvoicestudio.co.uk/; there will also be a possibility to sign up for individual or duo lessons with Liz

• two symposia, one on the application of Dalcroze to piano studio teaching and the other on the BBC 10 ten pieces (looking back at the primary schools’ projects and forwards to the secondary schools’ involvement)

• movement sessions with Hannah Greyson-Gaito, in the luxury of sprung-floor dance studios

Coventry is well-connected by public transport and the University building is opposite the beautiful Coventry Cathedral in the old heart of the city. Modern self-catering accommodation is a short walk away.
