Junior Web Developer

We are looking for a junior web developer to join our team in Torquay. You’ll be given the opportunity to work on exciting new projects which will help you develop in a technical and professional capacity in a growing organisation.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable contributing to the code base of larger ongoing projects and able to manage smaller projects from start to finish.

You must be strong with PHP/MYSQL development but also comfortable working with front end technology such as HTML/CSS/JS

Required Skills:

PHP 5+
Javascript/JQuery
MVC, CodeIgniter (Exposure)
MySQL
OOP
XML
CMS (ExpressionEngine(negotiable))

Desired Skills:

Experience implemented/building APIs
Experience with Git
Experience with HTML/CSS and responsive design
Know your way around a Unix system
CMS (ExpressionEngine, Wordpress)
eCommerce (OpenCart,Magento)

We would be looking for the successful applicants to be commencing employment with us as soon as possible working within the Insignia Creative office at the Torquay Innovation Centre

Working hours will be from 9.00 am to 17:00 pm. In addition to a competitive salary successful will also be entitled to 28 days’ paid annual leave per year + bank holidays. We are also presently implementing Workplace pensions scheme and the successful applicants would be invited to join this when appropriate.
