Male singers sought for acapella performing group

My performing group Far Cry has space for 2 male singers. This is an auditioned group and so there will be a process of selection.

The criteria are:

1. Must be able to commit to regular sessions (Thursday evenings in central Huddersfield). We meet in 10 week blocks currently

2. Must be interested in and available for performing

3. Must be willing to work on the voice in sessions including improvisation

4. Range does not need to be wide but around bottom F up to F ideally (an octave or above)

5. Must be willing to work without sheet music (we use aural learning)

6. Must be able to hold part in small group (sometimes maybe working in pairs)

7. Must have reasonable rhythmic ability

The group has been meeting since last summer and is currently building repertoire. The repertoire is acapella harmony and a mixture of folk/world, popular/known, political, contemporary/new arrangements. Sessions include a rigourous voice and body warm up and then working on songs. The group is mixed with men holding the bottom part (mostly but not entirely) and women on the other parts.

The group is lively, energetic and up for it!
