The Drowned Giant by Slow Cooked - online film and Q & A
The premiere of beautiful film by Tim Copsey featuring an extraordinary new composition from experimental cellist Slow Cooked (aka Louie Barby originally from Holmfirth). Adapted from the J G Ballard story of the same name, The Drowned Giant is a new audio-visual composition, which explores ideas of identity and empathy in a world troubled with climate anxiety.
Collaborating with French visual artist, Jade Halloin, Louie explores conducts an exploration of sound, words and visual imagery to create an immersive experience that challenges ideas of our separation from nature.
Filmed in Holmfirth Parish Church in September 2020
