Sing Out Reach Out

Members of Sharing Memories are currently working with children from Holmfirth JI&N School on an exciting singing project, run by Kirklees Council. The children have been teaching our older group members their favourite song, which is 'Proud' by Heather Small. And in turn we have taught them to sing 'What a Wonderful World' - the Louis Armstrong version. And together we are learning a new song called 'Sing Out, Reach Out' written by Boff Whalley, former musician with Chumbawamba. We had our first 'outing' on Saturday when we performed at Holmfirth Festival of Folk and we will be joining other schools and community groups for a performance in Huddersfield Piazza on Monday 3rd July at 1pm.
